As shared previously, it is EXTREMELY important for students to continue to read over the summer to avoid summer slide.  Students have made great gains this year, but without constant practice can lose anywhere from three to six months worth of learned skills.  

Attached is the Pinchbeck Summer Reading Bingo board.  As students read books on their level or parents read to students, students can fill in parts of the board.  For every 5 spaces in a row filled in, students will earn a raffle ticket for fun prizes and a chance to win a Kindle.  If students, fill in one entire board, they will earn 6 tickets.  If both boards are completely filled in, they will earn 13 tickets and a special celebration.  Additional information on summer reading programs in our local area were sent home at the end of the year.  Have fun reading and win prizes too!
